Quick Up-do By Me

Thursday morning I realized that I hadn't washed my hair in almost 3 weeks (eek!). Laziness is something serious! I needed a quick style that I could wear to work until I was able to wash my hair later that evening. I achieved this style by misting my hair with water and using a little flaxseed gel to create two chunky twists on both sides of my head. I didn't use a comb to part since I wanted it slightly messy.

I pinned each twist back with a couple of bobby pins and fluffed the back section out with my hands to add volume. For a bit of pizzazz I pinned a flower in my hair. It only took me 10 minutes to do this style.

Where do you get your flowers from? I've been trying to find good ones. So far, I haven't fallen in love with any.

I find flowers in random places: Hobby Lobby, Walmart, dollar stores. Another option, that I prefer, is that I make them myself. Buy the big bobby pins, some fake flowers and a hot glue gun. At least that way you get what you want. :)

I got a chance to see this do in person - seeing that we work together - and it was gorgeous. I have such hair envy for your hair Monique. You inspire me to be better to my natural hair!
