Long hair, do we care?

Does length really matter when it comes to natural hair? I can't help but a notice an obession with having "long, thick natural hair that is BSL (bra strap length)". Why is that? Why are we so concerned with having longer hair instead of healthy hair? After all, it is the reason we go natural isn't it?

Are you obessed with having long hair or does length not matter that much to you?

Well, I cut my long processed hair off to go natural and although the short curls were cute I wanted my length back. I have a chunky face with big cheeks and dimples and I think longer hair looks better on me. Which is also why I haven't gone for big chop number two. I'm trying to nurse my hair back to life instead of cutting it all off again. Sighs...

I do like long hair on me because I've had long hair all my life. I do want healthy hair too though so there have been times where I have cut my hair to get it back healthy. Nothing worse than long, stringy, damaged hair.

Healthy hair is most important to me. I contemplate going back to a TWA often so no, length is not that important lol.

I didn't necessarily go natural for healthy hair b/c my relaxed hair was healthy. I went natural b/c I'm a fan of light colors and thought that double processing would be the death of me. So I decided to go natural and color often. As with anything I think my initial goal was simply "HUGE ASS" hair, but at this point I would like to grow my hair long just to do it and then I'd probably cut it off short again.
