Taming curls without losing healthy bounce can be challenging.  It’s even harder to find a solution that’s both effective and non-toxic. Even style addicts are using more caution when selecting hair products these days and choosing “all-natural” or “organic” options wherever possible.  With this in mind, SheaMoisture has developed their Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Soufflé (Gel) with Agave Nectar & Flax Seed—a unique and purely natural styling aid for curly hair.

Formulated without the use of chemicals, alcohol and silicone, this NEW gel is an effective, easy-to-rinse-out, no buildup, light-weight and all-natural alternative to other curl defining styling aids on the market. Safe for use on all types of hair, including chemically treated, the Curling Soufflé defines and promotes curls.  Coconut and Flax Seed oils nourish and hydrate the hair, seal the hair shaft to protect against external pollutants and assist in natural oil retention. SheaMoisture’s original natural humectant complex of Agave Nectar, Coconut Oil, Vegetable Glycerin and Certified Organic Shea Butter moisturizes, conditions and boosts shine without frizz.  This product does not contain silicones, polymers or PVP which could cause build-up and damage over time.

Key Ingredients/Benefits:
  • Agave Teqilana Leaf Extract:  Provides natural hold and shine
  • Sugar Cane Extract:  Provides natural hold and shine

  • Coconut Oil: Rich in fatty acids, hydrates and protects hair from heat and chemical damage

@adrienne - I use flaxseed gel as a holding agent when I take my twists down. I think for this you would use it like you would any other gel. It could probably also be used as a curl definer for wash and gos.
