The In-Between Stage
Today is a bad hair day. They happen from time to time but it seems as of late, it's been a regular thing for me. I feel like my hair has hit a plateau. It's growing, it's thriving, it's healthy but styling it is another thing. I've done the twists, the updos, the half-up dos, the flat twists, the half pony with a bang, etc. My hair is currently at what I like to call "the in-between stage".SOURCE |
Have you experienced "the in-between stage"? What did you do?

Write commentsSo I was looking at your Saturday Night Hair post and I am sorely confused about what you could possibly be talking about. Looks more like someone's "goal" hair to me.
ReplyYeah, I'm in the "in-between stage" right now and it's kinda frustrating because I can't pull back all of my hair in a ponytail and I'm sick of the fro. I could do protective styles but they never last longer than a week :( BTW I just discovered your blog. Keep up the good work
ReplyI'm suffering with this right now so I put yarn braids in my hair. My parents complained to me why am i going to put some stuff in my hair in the summer? Its only shoulder length and I just tired of waking up in the morning and looking at it thinking what the heck am I going to do with it today. This is my 2nd time going natural and its going to be a year this September. I just want to stop styling my hair for a while and its not at a length where my twists are long enough to put into a cute little pony or pin up. I needed a break...sorry I wrote so much. lol
ReplyI think I'm actually beginning my journey in the in-between stage! Just did the BC this Friday, and my hair isn't super short, but not long enough for a pony or decent puff. I've just been experimenting with different products and styles by creating defined curls one day, and picking it out for a kinky fro the next day. Of course accessorizing with headbands and clips helps too. I'm going to try a twist out soon. There's a lady on YouTube who goes by prettydimples01 who's got tons of tutorials for different styles regardless of length, so I've been going to her for ideas too. T hope you find her just as helpful :)
ReplyI KNOW THIS CONVO WAS FOREVER AGO BUT omg i AM IN the stage of between and i am sick of it nor can i afford braids and its way too hot for wigs at times but i wear them anyway but then I feel like i am not embracing my naps. twist outs are getting boring and i dont like them anyway but I get plenty of compliments. I think now and some say it because they are loving the and embracing this NAtural Hair Revolution.
